The Umbrella Academy is a superhero series based on the comic book series of the same name by Gerard Way.

On October 1st, 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth simultaneously, despite showing no signs of pregnancy until labor began. The eccentric billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves adopted 7 of these children and formed a superhero team.

The main cast of the TV series The Umbrella Academy is:

• Elliot Page as Vanya Hargreeves / The White Violin: Vanya is the seventh adopted child of Sir Reginald Hargreeves. Initially, she is believed to have no powers, but later it is revealed that she has the most powerful abilities of all the siblings.
• Tom Hopper as Luther Hargreeves / Spaceboy: Luther is the leader of the Umbrella Academy and has the ability to superhuman strength. His body is partially transformed into a gorilla-like form after a mission gone wrong.
• David Castañeda as Diego Hargreeves / The Kraken: Diego has the ability to manipulate and curve the trajectory of objects, especially throwing knives. He is a skilled and rebellious member of the family.
• Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison Hargreeves / The Rumor: Allison has the power to make others believe a false truth by using the phrase "I heard a rumor..." She is a former actress and the most famous of the siblings.
• Robert Sheehan as Klaus Hargreeves / The Séance: Klaus has the ability to communicate with the dead, as well as temporarily bring them back to life. He struggles with addiction and his powers.
• Aidan Gallagher as Number Five / The Boy: Number Five has the ability to travel through time and space, but he appears to be a 13-year-old in an adult body. He is the most intelligent and serious member of the family.
• Justin H. Min as Ben Hargreeves / The Horror: Ben has the ability to summon and control monstrous tentacles from his body. Although he is deceased by the start of the series, his ghost appears to Klaus and is a key part of the family dynamic.
• Colm Feore as Sir Reginald Hargreeves: The adoptive father of the Hargreeves children, a wealthy and enigmatic businessman who trained the siblings to be heroes.
